Awesome post! I took a look at your code and really liked the way you solved that problem. I tried to go through and comment what's going on at each step as well as simplify some of the code. This actually seems to have some big performance gains (I'm not sure how setInverval factors into jsperf). I'm not scrambling the words exactly the same way you are though so that's an issue.
I guess let me know what you think. Feel free to close this PR if you feel there's no need for this change on your blog.

Nice. The code in it's current state was a bit embarrassing. Keep in mind I hacked together in like 30 minutes 2+ years ago, and didn't feel like woking on it. I just dumped it on my blog and it looked like it worked. :P
