How would I increase my VRAM without GPU passthrough?????

I tried to add-global qxl-vga.vram_size_mb=128 -global qxl-vga.ram_size_mb=128 \ to basic.sh but I still have 3MB ram which is insufficient. I would like to add more than 2 gigabytes of VRAM from my RTX 3080 which isn't in GPU passthrough as it is my main GPU.

If I can't, ill just wait to have enough money for an RX 580 because I might use Final Cut Pro in college September 2021 for my studies and 4GB is enough for a smooth experience.

Unfortunately the only way to get more VRAM is to pass in a entire gpu, unless I'm mistaken
