Feature Request: Custom Newsletter & Subscription Module for FORRT Website

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Currently, FORRT does not have a built-in system for managing newsletters and subscriptions. This makes it harder to maintain an integrated communication workflow with our community and requires relying on external tools. It would be helpful to have a solution that lives within the FORRT website ecosystem and can evolve with our needs.

Describe the solution you'd like I’d like to build a custom newsletter and subscription module as an extension to the FORRT website. This would be developed from scratch using Python (Django or Flask). The module would allow users to subscribe to newsletters, manage their preferences, and enable FORRT team members to send updates all in one place. With time, we can extend it to include features like analytics, and content scheduling based on community feedback and needs.

Describe alternatives you've considered We previously discussed third-party solutions such as Mailchimp and more . A custom solution would give FORRT full control and could be tailored specifically to FORRT’s goals.

Additional context This idea was inspired by recent discussions around newsletter tools. I'm open to feedback and collaboration, and would love to hear ideas from others on how this could be shaped.
