Neovim version (nvim -v)

v0.9.1

Operating system/version

MacOS 14.0 beta, Arch, Windows 11

Describe the bug

Using the T motion on repeated characters fails to allow for the navigation to every occurrence.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Create a file with the following:

\\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\

  1. Navigate to the end of line
  2. T\
image

Only the succeeding character of every second \ is accessible.

Expected Behavior

Something more akin to the t motion, which yields

image

where the preceding character of every \ is accessible.
