Auto thinning inconsistent in getSample

getSample(out, thin = "auto")
getSample(getSample(out, thin = "auto"), thin = "auto")

For a matrix, thin = auto thins far too much - leads to weird behavior of the plots

How much Auto thinning do we want?

What do we have for the normal samplers? I think a sample size of 5000 would be a save number, 1000 is more on the optimistic side but maybe still OK.

Right now the (new) auto thinning is implemented as a fraction of the total number samples to avoid hard coding. I adapted the correctThin function to return 1000 samples as default (or all if less than 1000) for auto thinning.
