I have come to think that this is a useless function, students in our last school were more confused by this than when coding this by hand.

  1. Remove all use of the function in the package
  2. Add a deprecation warning
  3. We'll remove the function with version 0.2

OK, I think this is solved - I'll move the issue to milestone to 0.2 a a reminder to remove the function then.
