TEST-WIN-10 Host missing from All Teams
Steps to reproduce:
- Log in as Global Admin
- Navigate to Host tab
- Set team to "All teams"
- Observe Hosts Expected: There should be 2 Hosts with Windows platforms: TEST-WIN-10 & TEST-WIN-11 Actual: Only TEST-WIN-11 is visible Timestamp: 0:12 - is an older run where we can still see TEST-WIN-10 Video: https://www.loom.com/share/b85956b9170f40eab8fbcff853026f1e (https://www.loom.com/share/b85956b9170f40eab8fbcff853026f1e)
Checking with infrastructure to see where this should go
@xpkoala, I assigned to Orchestration team so this doesn't fall under the radar.
@jmwatts, I assume this is not an unreleased bug. Tell me if I'm wrong.
There's not much to go on here. I verified that Test-Win-10 is not on that instance anymore. My best guess would that it was deleted manually. We'd need to directly inspect the database to be more sure. If they are running a virtual machine with the Test-Win-10 name and it's connecting to Fleet but not enrolling, that would be good to know. For now, without more info, it's hard to see a bug here.
@sgress454 QA wolf doesn't have access to these VMs, only Fleet does. Robert created this issue to get us access to the VMs. https://github.com/fleetdm/confidential/issues/10046
It's not a bug in the product but we do need to resolve the issue for them.
Ok! Do we need to keep this issue open?
I was able to work with Robert to get TEST-WIN-10 up and running again and confirmed we can now RDP into all 4 windows VMs in QA wolf Premium & Free.
I re-enrolled it on the qa wolf premium site and added it to the correct team. Should be gtg! https://qawolf-premium.cloud.fleetdm.com/hosts/manage?query=TEST-WIN-10&page=0&order_key=display_name&order_direction=asc
Invisible hosts, A fix brings them back to view, Secure, strong, and true.
Visible hosts in sight, One missing - not quite right, Fleet brings back the light.
