Update Visual Identity of the Project
The current logo feels a bit dated and exhibits numerous deficiencies:

- Fullcolor textured logo doesn't share the same perspective with the symbol that is usable in more contexts, such as high frequency rich photos.
- Overpass typeface combined with all caps doesn't feel contemporary
It would be nice to develop a more streamlined contemporary identity built on the current foundations. Deliverables:
- [x] Updated website, including the landing illustration.
- [x] Presskit
- [x] Documentation
- [x] Presentation templates.
- [x] Twitter
- [ ] Youtube (including the thumbnail of the video featured on the site)
- [x] Website sharing metadata
- [x] Opencollective Page
- [ ] README

This looks great to me, a nice evolution on the identity.
Agreed, looks great
Thanks for your work, it looks great! :-)
By the way, https://docs.flatpak.org will probably also need new branding (logo etc.) applied.
edit: I did not notice that you already made a PR for that. Thanks!
It looks great!
I updated the main icon at https://opencollective.com/flatpak but the banner is a little harder since only the top right part of it is visible, so it doesn't make sense to just re-use the Twitter banner. For example see this collective; note how the banner image is cropped by a wavy line.

I'd go for the simple black stencil over a simple white background. Perhaps something to be explicit in the guidelines. I'll craft something for the curved banner background.
Not too fond of the mask OpenCollective uses, but if there's no way of avoding it:

I updated the subreddit as well with the new branding (although it is not official).

Thanks, I updated the banner image there. It doesn't look quite like your nodetree image, but it seems good to me.
@jimmac what should do about the logo in the README? If we use either the white or black svg logo from the press kit, it look bad in light mode or dark mode respectively.
The best approach for dark/light for simple stencils like this is inline SVG and CSS. Seen here for example -- https://blog.jimmac.eu/2021/how-to-symbolic/
Nevermind, been bit by this before, but forgot. github markdown doesn't allow for anything fancy like html fallback, so the only solution seems to be a hardcoded background. Will provide the asset.
