Get dynamic identity switching `set-identity` working
Going to mark this high, seems essential for operators based on community feedback.
This must be high priority if you want validators to switch between agave and firedancer, to help test firedancer.
Hey team, as part of the Solana Foundation Delegation Program, downtime really hurts us since it impacts our vote credits. It’d be super helpful to have a way to transition a Firedancer node to a passive state, like how agave-validator lets us set an unstaked identity.
This would make failovers and maintenance way smoother without the risk of losing vote credits or having to deal with outages. It’s a pretty critical feature for validators like us who need to stay online as much as possible. Hope you can consider adding this – it’d make a huge difference for operators. Thanks!

@anoushk1234 I don't think we're ready/able to assign any of the Frankendancer tasks externally yet. We will begin working on this issue as soon @mmcgee-jump is done with bundle support.
