Error fetching Json Web Keys: The JWKS endpoint did not contain any signing keys

When calling verifyToken I receive Error fetching Json Web Keys: The JWKS endpoint did not contain any signing keys on my local machine, the token is obtained as described here https://rnfirebase.io/app-check/usage

  • Operating System version: macOS
  • Firebase SDK version: 13.4.0
  • Node.js version: 22.17.1

I found a few problems with this issue:
