Feature: Rename file to a existing file name - Popup Dialogue
What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?
If I rename a file to a file that already exists there is no popup dialogue and the new one will be saved as "same name (N)". How could I activate a dialogue popup like in Windows Explorer where I will be asked what's to do if the same file name exist?
Requirements
The same behavior as in Windows Explorer, add (N), undo, "ask for every conflict window"

Aside from cancel, are there any other options you would expect?
The same options as in Windows Explorer? I often rename pictures with a with a consecutive number and if there is already the same number I stop and view the the picture to decide which one I want to use or use both and rename the new or old file with another number manually. My scenario is sort the numbers for web shops social media etc.
I think I misunderstood, are you talking about conflicts durring file transfers or renaming?
Conflicts through renaming, rename to an already exist file name.
This is the prompt in File Explorer
Yes, that would help me too. But currently this dialog box does not appear in Files.
There is another function in Files, but that's not what I mean.
If I copy a file with the same file name from another window or from Windows Explorer into a Files folder this dialogue window popup. So, the function is already there but not active for rename files inside the folder, just for files copied into the folder.
The conflicts dialog only displays when transferring items, this is consistent with File Explorer.
