The element snippet can sometimes overflow

How to reproduce:

  • open the GT tour
  • go to the second page
  • make the window smaller and see this effect

For me, this happens even without resizing with elements showing a Mondrian tree (that's the only element type I've observed this issue with):

what size does the window have? is there scaling in your case?

Also, what is the script that produces this element?

Ok, found the answer:

(ProcessingSource fromPage: thisSnippet page) renderLiveView: #gtTreeMondrianFor:

Actually, now I cannot find a systematic way to reproduce the problem. Often it works, sometimes it does not

For me and my students, this issue happens rather reliably: the Mondrian tree overflows when the page is loaded in a fresh GT, with default zoom settings, etc. The issue seems to be less prevalent, the larger the window gets (so, this might be the same as issue #4661).

Could it be that some elements get a preliminary size for layout, which may change once the Lepiter snippets are actually rendered?

I've also noticed, that moving the window between my two monitors (one low-res, one high-res) also seems to have an influence: The tree seems to fit correctly when the window is maximized on the secondary, low-res monitor. Making the window smaller or moving it to the other monitor causes this issue to appear.
