Description

When the Personalized Volume feature is enabled on AirPods Pro and they’re being used on the Mac running macOS 26, the new Control Center indicator for volume changes will be triggered when the feature is adjusting the volume up or down due to ambient noise changes.

Ingredients to reproduce:

1 - AirPods Pro with Personalized Volume enabled 2 - Mac running macOS 26 3 - A way to cause a continuous somewhat loud noise in the room (I used an iPhone with the Background Sounds feature playing the “Rain” sound at full volume through the iPhone speakers)

Steps to reproduce:

1 - Connect AirPods Pro to Mac running macOS 26 2 - Make sure the “Personalized Volume” feature is enabled in AirPods settings 3 - Start playing something (ex: Music) through the AirPods 4 - Do something to cause the ambient noise level to increase so that Personalized Volume adjusts the volume

Expected: automatic volume changes triggered by Personalized Volume should not cause a volume indicator to pop up.

Actual: automatic volume changes triggered by Personalized Volume are triggering a volume indicator pop up.
