Extract .zak from wonder boy ultimate collection and Ninja JaJaMaru

There seems to be a new archive type which is used in the nintendo switch versions of wonder boy ultimate collection and ninja jajamaru. Both collections contain a "roms.zak" file in their romfs. Does anyone have an idea on how to extract these .zak archives?

There's actually quite a few with a rom.zak file but I always thought they looked too small to actually contain anything and so were more likely to be stubs and the actual rom is in the exe.
