Importing
I've uploaded a bunch of memos from my ancient Windows Mobile phone to my PC. They are plain text files with the first line serving as a filename. How can I import them into farmerbb/Notepad under Android 8 Oreo? I've connected the new phone to the PC via USB. I can see the Android's file structure, but don't see a data directory for Notepad.
Update: Copying these plain-text memo files to the Android's Download folder, then using the "import notes" item in the dot-dot-dot menu actually brought them into Notepad, however these files weren't moved out of the Download folder, which I'll probably want to leave empty for other uses. Is there another folider I can move them to? Can I create a folder than Notepad will look for?

You wanted to import and did that. After that, you manually delete from Download and if needed export to where you want. Notes are in app data, export is optional.
NotePad did not create a folder under Phone\Android\data... Notes remain in Phone\Download, so it’s still an issue.
