Sudden wakeups

Open arkenoi opened this issue 6 years ago • 8 comments

When I have T-UI as my default launcher, the phone screen turns on several times a minute. How can I diagnose it further? Android 8.1, Blackberry Key2.

I have the Blackberry Key 2 aswell and I can tell you already that this has nothing to do with T-UI. I also had the same behavior on my phone before using this launcher. I really don't know why it does that though. Sometimes it gives me the impression I am going to receive a notification while nothing happens actually. So my guess it has something to do with the Key 2 itself.

However, if I switch to a "regular" launcher the problem disappears.

Oh I see. Sorry then. Too bad because it really looks like we have the same problem.

By the way, can I ask you this : are you able to use the T-UI music feature with the Key 2 ?

nope, but I did not try hard enough, maybe I just did not configure it properly. Shall we open an issue about the music? I tried to enable it, but any music operation just causes t-ui to crash and restart.

..wild guess: could it be possible that notifications that are "filtered" and being silenced in UI still cause those wakeups due to some bug?

Two issues about the music feature have been opened already. Since I have the same phone I wanted to know if we were sharing the same problem. My launcher is crashing aswell no matter which music track I try to select or play. From the informations I could find, I am afraid this could due to the BlackBerry Key2 since there is no "Default music player" option displayed in the Android default applications settings. But I don't want to pollute this topic with something which is not related to your primary issue.

Regarding what you said about the notifications I wanted to know if you tried to disable the feature in T-UI. I am not sure if disabling it will remove all your filters though.

apparently, no notifications -- no wakeups! but that sucks. notifications are handy.

Not sure if it works that simple: they appear to be silenced already, they do not get their way into the notification drawer. However, t-ui still makes the phone to wake up.
