Less compilation does not work anymore

Installed product versions

  • Visual Studio: 2022 Enterprise version 17.0.5
  • This extension: 1.14.2

Description

Since I upgrade VS 2022 from 17.0.2 to 17.0.5, less compilation does not work anymore. I get a message:

"This application cannot run on your PC"

Steps to recreate

  1. Modify a less file
  2. Save

Or

  1. Right-Clic on a less file
  2. Web Compiler > Re-compile file

I tried to start VS as administrator and the result is the same.

I also tried to uninstall/reinstall the extension

I updated from 17.0.2 to 17.0.6 (17.0.5 wasn't an option), but I'm unable to reproduce this issue, is anyone else seeing this?

I've started seeing the same today. I don't think it's linked to VS update, because it worked fine for 17.0.6 first and only stopped to work a couple days later for the same VS release. Following https://github.com/madskristensen/WebCompiler/issues/390#issuecomment-475427735 helped fix this seemingly random error.
