API not working (update configuration )

Hello,

Expected Behavior

Updating the config via the API should work.

Actual Behavior

I just can't manage to update the config. to change providers & co. by using the API. I think it's very linked to the way the documentation is written; improvements could be made.

And it seems just impossible to change the config. using Docker. Am I missing something ?

Do we need to restart the master or something ? (even for node?)

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

1. PATCH the config using the API
2. Get the config which is now displayed as updated - though nothing changes
