Text Messages to Radio Screen

Hello,

I am trying to send text messages to radio screen but nothing happens. How do you do that?

For example, I am using this to display Hi but nothing shows up.

C8 07 80 23 42 32 48 69 3D

It is trial and error I think. In my car the old codes and message formats don't work properly. What I did is I wrote a listener and fiddled around with the radio and the buttons, and then tried to analyse the byte stream and figure out the messages. (you can also look at the http://imbmw.net/ ImBmw project and look at his display components)

I would like to try your code. But where can calculate the checksum? I am trying with online checksum calculators but they are not working.

Additionaly, this message goes to IKE not to HU so will it work on the bench without ike?

Thank you.

Try to send this code C8 11 80 23 42 01 48 65 6C 6c 6F 21 20 6D 62 74 32 38 0B To calculate the CheckSum I use the Windows calculator in programmer mode
