Will not install on OBS for Linux Mint (Ubuntu)

Apologies if I seem inept or incapable of understanding your directions.

I am trying to install this onto OBS (deb package) on Linux Mint (Ubuntu). I understand the Linux Mint version is out of date.

Is this plugin compatible with OBS 27? I have tried copying it to the plugings directory on /usr/share/obs/obs-plugins, and also to ~/.config/obs-studio/plugins. In either case it does not show up under Sources.
