OBS freezes on startup if Source Record effect is on a disconnected V4L2 device source

Hey!

This plug-in is fantastic, but I am unfortunately unable to use is, because more often than not it makes OBS freeze during operation (when I try to put the Source Record effect above other effects in my processing stack) or makes OBS unable to start up at all.

I think the problem is caused by the fact that I have added the effect to a V4L2 Source, that points to a camera that currently is not connected.

I am running OBS 27.1.3 and I have compiled the latest version of this plug-in against OBS 27.1.3's source code. All is done on Arch Linux.

I had to remove the plug-in to be able to start OBS at all. Have anyone experienced a similar problem?

Hello. I'm also experiencing this. I had to manually remove the filter from the JSON file in order to successfully start OBS again.
