ete_toolchain for ARM / Apple Silico?

Hi,

Are there plans to port ete_toolchain for ARM / Apple Silicon? I note that the package has not been updated for 4 years.

If there are no plans, what options are available for ARM / Apple Silicon users, other than using Docker or Rosetta?

Hi Joses, the new branch (ete4) which is in heavy development for the last year, will refactor de toolchain section. So far, our best option is to relay on conda repositories for all the dependencies, including ete-build external software. Are the bioconda repos supporting apple silicon at the moment? That would be best solution IMO. thanks, -jaime
