iOS Contact Pictures - gone after sync

I recognize that I probably allowed a permission that I shouldn't of when installing on IOS - but I was like "yes - I'd love to have my contacts synced".

But now - ALL my contact pictures are gone. The data inside the contacts are also wonky now. For instance - Google Talk user names now show <$ OTHER $> instead of Google Talk.

Any idea why it would delete all the contact pictures tho?
