Please add SMS messages and Phone Call History Backup

By SMS Messages I mean both text message and MMS media.

That's a very interesting suggestion, thanks for opening the ticket! I think it should be possible to backup text messages (and MMS?), probably also call history, though I don't think you can restore them. Any insights?

If you can export them in .xml format, then I think you can restore them as well.

Not sure if this is an unwanted or unhelpful necro, but there are apps on the Play Store that can do this, one of which I've used frequently in the past, so it is possible.

Restoration of text messages requires being set as the default SMS app (temporarily). Call Logs is a permission of its own that allows reading and writing to the call log, although it appears call log restoration might also require being the default SMS app in Android 10+, unless that's a quirk of the particular app I'm trying or of my ROM.

I would really like this feature. I am unsure about the viability of syncing text messages. But Call Logs are definitely something I would like to sync between phones.
