Selecting the expansion from dropdown doesn't work as expected.

The expansion works if I type it out exactly and hit tab. But if I type it partially out and choose the expansion from the contextual dropdown list that appears, it doesn’t expand. Which means I have to type out the full shortcut exactly right each time or it won’t trigger the expansion. I can do that but if it’s presenting my the expansion as I type and I click it, I expect the expansion to take place. Does that make sense?
