Cannot connect to filetea instance

When trying to connect to filetea daemon I always get one of these two errors:

with latest release: 403 Forbidden with filetea-1.x branch: 405 Method not allowed.

This is with Curl. Chrome and Firefox do not show any output at all and simply time out after a while. Filetea is running on an up2date arch linux system.
