New labels aren't populated from google mail

It doesn't appear new labels are populated after they're created through google.com/mail.

To replicate the issue:

open mail create a new label through google.com/mail back in mail, the new labels aren't shown until the application is fully restarted. closing and reopening the app doesn't appear to trigger the refresh.
