Dragging file from Files across monitors locksup desktop

Open it-s opened this issue 6 years ago • 2 comments

Dragging any file from Files file manager on one monitor to a target on another causes to break the desktop. The drop event never happens even after mouse button is released and the cursor gets stuck in drag mode, without any way to cancel it. No mouse events are registered after that and only keyboard hotkeys work, with the only way to exit is to kill Xorg. I have no idea how to provide any evidence of this problem though, or where to find the log files to attach.

Confirm. I have the same bug after drag-n-dropping file from Files to Terminal. After that desktop becomes unresponsible for mouse clicks, only keyboard shortcuts work. So, system becomes unusable until restarting X session. Drag-n-drop is currently completely broken. I'm using latest git snapshot on Fedora.
