"Force quit" in the right click menu
Problem
Sometimes an app is running in the background but there is the need to have it closed Sometimes an app refuses to close
Proposal
Right-click on the dock, "Force the application to quit"
this option would appear when an app is running - with an active window somewhere on a desktop, or in the background

No response
Even just a "close" in the context menu would be nice. "Force Quit" seems too harsh. Broadly speaking though, I agree, good feature request
There is another issue open about closing windows from the dock
This one was mostly aimed at background apps, and frozen ones. The latter has gala terminate anyway, and now monitor, and the former is now covered by the background processes thingy
The original intent if this issue report is resolved, as far as im concerned
