Searchbar sometimes does not find string that is present in file

What Happened

After doing some searches, typing a new search into the searchbar does not give any matches even though the string is definitely in the file.

Closing and reopening the searchbar does not fix the issue, but copying and pasting the search term from the text into the searchbar does work,

Expected Behavior

The searchbar should always find a match when the text is present.

Steps to Reproduce

Will complete when I find a reproducible sequence of steps.
