Message editor field not empty after aborting the editing of a formerly sent message.

Open 1MichaS1 opened this issue 10 months ago • 0 comments

Steps to reproduce

  1. I send a message
  2. I long-click on it and select edit to modify it.
  3. Then the editing field at the bottom opens with the original message that I can now edit, and above that there is the original message (first two lines) with a red (x) mark.
  4. Now I change my mind - I do not want to edit it but keep it unchanged, so I click the red (x) mark to abort my initiated editing process.

Outcome

What did you expect?

I expect that the editing/modification is aborted and the "new message field" is empty again.

What happened instead?

While the field with the red (x) mark correctly disappears after tapping on it, the new message field is not empty but still contains the entire message as if I am still about to edit it. I have to tediously clear the entire new-message-field manually.
