Looks like the redesign that didn't have the widget, and which was already on the Hebrew site, is now on the English site as well. I've looked through the site and googled for text from the widget, but it appears to be gone. I can't find another source for this data.
Any contact within would be most welcome! Would make sense to ask them to put it back :)
So I did some research, and they removed any live data from their site. That sucks. Luckily for us, there is a freedom of information law in Israel (so they just decided to make it harder to get this data). I will write a request for them, hoping they will be willing to share this and won't just drag it around and throw bureaucracy at me.
Thanks for doing that, much appreciated :)
So I got a response from Dr Seri (the person in charge of freedom of information for IEC). In summary: they rejected my request for making this data available on demand over the following reasons:
- Managing Israel's electricity management system is under a private company called Noga.
- Israel's Ministry of Environment publishes a general CO2 emission Calculator.
Having said that, he believes the answer to our questions exists at this URLs electricity menagment, iec co2 calculator and in Israel's ministry of environment's website.
I'll look into it and update you if we can find the answer there
The NOGA website does have current demand, so good find 👍
That should be sufficient to create a parser with the same capabilities as the old one
Closing this as the electricity data is flowing again.
