Can applications be opened in another desktop without switching to it?

Applications like autodesk products (autocad, revit) open on current desktop even if specified on:2. Is there any way to prevent it? Other than switching and waiting for them to be opened in another desktop?

Maybe would there be any way to "send" them to another desktop once they open?

VDesk does provide a noswitch:true/false argument, but when I tested it doesn't seem to actually work. Maybe it worked before but has stopped working since. I am not aware of any other method to do this.
