byteinvert function

I needed to change bit-endianness of a byte-stream and it took a little while to figure out what seems to be the simplest way to do this. Maybe it could be useful to others? I won't be offended if not.

Sorry, forgot about it. Shouldn't it be called reverse instead of invert? And why doesn't the function return anything?
