Question on organizing a classroom

Hi,

Please excuse me if this question is too silly. I am trying to organize a classroom using Github classroom for my class. I got the free unlimited repositories from Github (thanks, Github) and I get how to make an assignment. What should be my next step as I have not started the class yet? In particular,

1. Should I ask each student create their own account in GitHub?
2. After I create an assignment, if I send the assignment link to their personal email, shouldn't they have a Github account already to view it?
3. In the above case, how does the assignment gets linked to their Github account unless I put their Github information in the assignment?
