Please put instructions how to verify download

I was a windows power user for 10 years and linux user for 2 years. I have verified downloads and signatures from Linux Mint, Qubes OS and similar projects about 5 times in my life.

Even I can't figure out how to do this within reasonable amount of time. There is no way bitcoin is ever going to be massively adopted by the non techie crowd if things are so hard needlessly.

Please put instructions on how to verify download of the wallet.

Specific problem is that I have no idea which public key from here I need: https://pgp.mit.edu/pks/lookup?op=vindex&search=0x2BD5824B7F9470E6

Having never used pgp.mit.edu, I find it horrible user unfriendly.

You are looking at the screen that tells you "Which people have verified the validity of these keys"

You need the screen that tells you "Here's the keys"

Try this link instead. https://pgp.mit.edu/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x2BD5824B7F9470E6

If you're on windows, you need to download gpg4win OR install the Linux subsystem for Windows 10 and run gpg2 --verify from the linux subsystem terminal (much easier IMO... gpg4win is all GUI and I can never figure out where any of the buttons are.

I do agree though... verifying gpg sigs on Windows is like pulling teeth... which is why I avoid using Windows whenever I can. Sometimes work forces me to use it.

btw, here's a little guide I wrote for Copay... same thing applies.
