Make this Near-Real Time
Right now this implementation relies on the MODIS burned area product that has a 2 month latency, could we drive down the latency of this product?
We are currently working on this using an active-passive open-access sensor data approach. We will post updates as we make progress on ironing out the algorithms. This may not be resolved for two years.
