IMPORTANT: Please do not use this repository as a practice activity to learn how to use GitHub! Only submit a PR after:

as a part of the EDSC we were going to publish the summer program as a course on the site. this is the start of that but many updates have been made to the curriculum so this PR probably needs to be redone.
