Please support integrated installation through Azure Data Studio, because having to open a browser, click a download link, save the file and execute the install-through-vsix command is suboptimal UX.

Sorry for being lazy at first for not checking whether Azure Data Studio itself supports this, as, apparently, it does not.

I couldn't find an issue on Microsoft/azuredatastudio to enable extension auto-updating. Not sure what the plans are there?

Hi @mario-d-s The request most similar to your comments I believe is https://github.com/Microsoft/azuredatastudio/issues/3874 Unfortunately I don't think this has gained much traction.

No extensions currently support auto-updating, but the Microsoft official extensions do install directly vs the external vsix download and install.

@dzsquared it only has had five days to gain traction :smiley: surely as ADS becomes a more complete product there will be a better extension ecosystem soon.
