elementary OS deprecating ayatana indicators

elementary's making a new set of indicators using a new plugin system in wingpanel. These new indicators have quite a bit more freedom compared to the current ones (You're not confined to a menu design, can have any widget in them now), so that might be something for you to look out for. ;) Ayatana indicators will still technically be supported, but it would be nice to take advantage of the new features.
