Preferences window automatically closes after time out when 'use full menu bar' is set

Describe the bug

Similar to #66 and #151 the preferences window automatically closes after the set time out which is irritating. This only happens when you activate the 'Use the full menu bar when expanding' option before.

Steps to reproduce

1. Make sure 'Use the full menu bar when expanding' is activated
2. Expand the menu bar
3. Click on the Pipe Symbol
4. Click on preferences
5. Wait until the menu bar collapses

Expected behaviour

The preferences window should stay active and not be closed automatically after the time out. This does not happen when the full menu bar option is deactivated.
