add_tooltip() does not work with Markdown/ html()

I believe that the add_tooltip() functionality does not work with R Markdown and its generated HTML.

add_labs() caption doesn't allow for line breaks?

Playing with a map design, and I'm noticing that \ and \\n don't appear to create a line break in the caption. Is this even possible to do with add_labs()?
