!todo is there a "shield" shape for a swallow-tailed banner?
Are you talking about the kind of banner that's discussed here: http://herald.poore-house.com/display/heraldic-flags/standards/ ? I'm actually messing around with something like this right now. What do you think would be desired: just the plain basic shape, the basic shape with two-color fringe, the shape with the transverse bands for mottos? What about splitting the fill so that it can be two-color also (or the user can just fill both halves the same color for a one-color banner)?
I was thinking more of nautical signalling flags https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_maritime_signal_flags which are pretty simple and shouldn’t be too hard to add; the standard would be good to do as well but considerably more complicated - in particular I’m not sure what the actual heraldic description would be…? I would probably use the 7 numbered phrases on the poore-house page to indicate the parts and then assemble them onto a standard of a fixed size and shape. Interesting!
