changing plans?

hi daniel,

thanx for this nice plugin! eye opening approach afaik. i'm setting up a new redmine for our company (mid-sized digital agency in cologne). i would really like to use planner and, even if you claim it to be in early stages, it appears suitable already. except, i can't change plannings if i once did them? at least i did not find a way. the following i add hoping it helps you to tune 'planner' we do plan people on individual basis as planner proposes but from time to time we just ask for 'somebody capable of wrinting in english'. that does not seem to be supported, one always has to request an individual? recurring tasks, which is what we intend to put in 'planners' task-list, sometimes have quite a lengthy description. in order to reuse the wiki pages we made for this tasks, i entered a url into 'planners' description field. would be great if that would render as a link. part time worker support would be nice, you have it on your todo. i'll subscribe to it. the 'ready', 'new' and 'denied' buttons don't have any effect at all for me. it is not possible to delete a task? for me (using 2.2 and ruby 1.87), closing them has no effect on visibility.

cheers, /markus

  • Changing planning is not yet implemented, but will be. The idea is again to use the request/approve scheme. This means the current plan remains unchained, changes will only be committed when the team leader approves them.
  • Planning is always on individuals for now.
  • Task management is currently very incomplete. It's right now the bare minimum for a proof of concept. Improvements will be implemented soon. As a start, I pushed a changed that makes the task description wiki-text.

Any news about possibility to change approved plans? We can't use this plugin and share our experience if there is no/any way to edit the requests and adjust it to the situation.

Hi, any news on that?

I really don't know how to use this plugin when there is no possibility to edit/alter/delete approved plans? Is there any other way to use it?

Maybe deleting approved plans would help a bit. For now when the plan is approved I don't see any option to change that or delete it so there are stalled records that don't adhere to reality.

Sorry, I don't have the resources to actively develop this plugin right now. I'm happy to review pull requests though.

Hi, i want to use the nice plugin for a company, too. But we have the need to change a plan from time to time. So it would be great to have that option. Otherwise we cannot use and there is no real other resource management for redmine. Is there a possibility for you to make plans changeable?

regards, Volker
