Not an issue but was wondering is you might be the person to ask :)

OverlayFs is sort of deviod of tools in respect to Aufs but it doesn't have all the kernel problems Aufs does. The only merge tools I know is https://github.com/kmxz/overlayfs-tools but it can not do live merges and just wondered if you are up for the tack?
