Thumbnail generation freezes application
I have a folder with 2423 images - navigating to that folder and switching to thumbnail view started to generate thumbnails, but froze the application after approximately half seemed to be done.
This is with the latest beta version on windows 10, with 64GB of RAM and the folder in question on an NVME SSD.
What type of images? ie png / jpg / bmp / etc? What resolution? Is there maybe one image there that is corrupted? Maybe check the images in smaller batches to see if there is then submit it here so we can see what causes the thumbnail generation to fail.
Mostly jpg and png, with some mp4 and jfif files too. The average size is less than 1MB, but the largest is over 19MB. I tried removing half at random a few times, and the problem persisted. Just for reference, the standard windows file explorer handles this without issue (and I know can handle 15k+ images, eventually, too).
I am running into similar issue on 1.1.13 453 on Windows 10.
In my case the panel that is generating the thumbnail becomes unresponsive but the other panel still works fine. In my case just a couple hundred images.
The panel remain unresponsive after restarting application.
Doesn't seems to be related to any particular images since this happens in many different folders,
