Why does the new version REQUIRE net 8, instead of OFFERING net 8,

All versions after v1.0.4606020

  1. Having just launched VS Code and Polyglot Notebooks once again, I was offered to update Polyglot Notebooks. I have updated, and when I try to launch notepad, I get the error: ".NET 8 SDK REQUIRED". Why? What for?

  2. Now you will never support versions up to and including v1.0.4606020? Is it now impossible to use Polyglot Notebooks with versions below 8 ? Why is that? What are your arguments?

Polyglot Notebook now requires .NET 8 SDK and give support for .NET 8, C#12 and F#8
