Trying to run without Docker

This is such a cool project! I'm trying to use it for my own data but I'm wondering if Docker is a dependency. From the readthedocs, I see that you need to instantiate an engine and when I run that on my computer I get a docker error. Do you have any examples for running without docker and purely from python?

For reference, I'm running ubuntu 20.04

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
