[Word 2007] generated files don't open in Word 2007 since v.7.0.0

Starting with version 7.0.0, documents generated using the library do not open in Word 2007. I tried the first example (hello world) and Word 2007 could not open it, although Google Docs did.

If this is the way it is intended, where can I look at the documentation for version 6.0.3?
