What is your kitematic version? and are you sure. there packages has the latest tag?

Trackhe avatar Oct 20 '19 09:10 Trackhe

Below are the versions of the software and os. All I can do is assume the "latest" tag for a package downloaded a few million times has the correct tag assigned to the proper version. My request has included the "latest" and specific version numbers, all with the same result.

Initially, the download starts as image 5 shows, gets to the point in image 6 and ends like image 7.

Kitematic5 Kitematic6 Kitematic7

Versions numbers Kitematic3 Kitematic4

Running on MacOS Catalina 10.15

hub.docker.com/elasticsearch Supported tags and respective Dockerfile links 7.4.0 6.8.3

i cant find latest in there. but you also tried version 6.8.3. I can not say exactly why you are not. with me go 7.4.0 and 6.8.3. can you try my version? Kitematic fork latest release.

I am having a similar issue. Kitematic 0.17.7.0 on windows -when trying to download any container image the ui shows DOWNLOADING and Connecting to Docker Hub but the connection never completes and no container image is ever downloaded. I replaced Kitematic files with the Kitematic fork latest release (Kitematic-0.17.11-Windows.zip) but the problem still exists

@simshard you tried to start kitematic with admin rights?

Trackhe avatar Nov 12 '19 20:11 Trackhe

I tried starting kitematic as administrator and it still sticks on Connecting to Docker Hub . however this just made me learn how to use the console api .

simshard avatar Nov 12 '19 20:11 simshard

@simshard as administrator seems to work then yes. Only with the stuck on connecting is another problem. they have already fixed that but have not released a new release that contains fix. please try my version.Kitematic fork latest release.

I have already installed that version (0.17.11) but the issue remains - stuck on connecting to Docker Hub

Same issues here. Just installed the latest Docker Toolbox on Windows 10 but any package I try to install just says "downloading" and "Connecting to Docker Hub". It never proceeds and there is no network activity in the windows task manager. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and running as admin, neither of which helped.

@simshard is anything in the console from Kitematic? go to View and Toggle Developer Console.
